Same lady. Different day, different lens.
This beautiful woman resides in my garden now. I took some photos the other day of her and I posted one of them. On that day, I used my 28mm prime. I thought the results should have been better.
Yesterday I photographed her again using my 300mm zoom because I just did not feel like bending over. I am saving that for the government.
On the underside pics I used the flash. Bad idea. I tried them without the flash but the area was too shaded.
This is where a ring light would have come in handy. Also if I can ever get my macro lens back from my daughter...
Look pretty good to me,i love spider shots as i said on your other post and like to get real close up but not too many about round our house at the moment.Nice one.

Awesome shots Tom. The flash did pretty good. Looks like a pretty good size spider.

Thanks Erv. The thorax is about 1 inch long so far. I figure it has a ways to go yet.
That's the biggest Golden Orb I've ever seen!! The web must have been VERY successful!

Yes, she does have a large beautiful web. She is a good size but there are much bigger ones out there. She should get about twice as big as she is now. I have no plans of evicting her so she should fatten up just fine.
I hate spiders, but love the golden lady. I never evict one from my garden! Nice shoots!
Pretty little girl! Great shots!

So thats what kind of spider that is....I shot one the other day with my 80mm and loved the shot but did not know if it was venomous or not  Is it?
