It is early season for visiting Wako but we went anyway and saw the usual bird suspects - but not that many. A couple GBH were in courting postures and they are usually the first to nest there.
This Iguana showed up on the main nesting island and there were a few birds on the island also. It is an interesting thought as to how the Iguana got there - as we did see several Alligators in the surrounding waters ! It is hard to imagine that the Iguana is not detrimental to the birds nesting !
Sony A99, Minolta 500 f8 AF reflex (mirror lens) from monopod, 1/640, ISO 1250 with a medium crop. You can see the characteristic donut shaped bokeh in the backround. This was the first time I have used the 500 Reflex lens with the A99.

He is a big boy!!! Colorful, too. Nice photo. Hopefully, he is one of the vegetarian type of iguanas and will leave the eggs an babies alone.

Great shot!! Isn't Wakodahatchee a wonderful place to explore?! I also like Green Cay and Loxahatchee a lot and try to visit all when I am in Florida.

Well the lizard is very well done, more than makes up for it.
A terrific composition and exposure as usual Larry. Nicely done, indeed.
