Some times taking wild animal photographs takes a lot of creeping through the woods. You have to judge the way the wind in blowing. You need to exercise sound discipline. Or, you can come to a halt at the stop sign and take a picture of the young buck that is also stopped and take his picture.

I love when that happens. Got a nice shot of an elk in Banff the same way. Looks a lot like yours, actually.

I found it much harder to get a close shot of big bucks than bull elk. This is a nice 5x6.

Thank you all for your kind remarks. I've just switched to a new Oly. I hope to get some good shots to post. BTW it is am EM 5 mark III.
