For me, there are few places as peaceful and beautiful. I love four wheeling there.

Just remember every time you go off road you leave tracks. In desert landscapes these tracks can, and do, last for decades. Just because you can go somewhere in 4WD does not mean you should.

I always tread lightly and stay on the marked trails. The same cannot be said of hikers, horse riders, mountain bikers and atv riders. I have been doing this for over 40 years and I have never destroyed any thing or driven where I am not allowed. I just loved the beauty of this picture. I was on a marked trail enjoying the beauty of this great country. I certainly did not expect to find negativity in this format.

Very nice photo, but it needed to be said. As much jeep traffic as the area around Moab gets, it needs to be said over and over again. I'm glad you are one of the relatively few conscientious back roaders and I appreciate you and your reply. No need for any negativity.

That's a good, proper lookin' Wrangler you've got there, Roaddog. Looks like you were up in the Sevenmile Mesa area somewhere, maybe out toward Determination Towers, but with little to go by --no readily identifiable 'feature'-- you could've been practically anywhere around here. Good on you.

Since I'm in full agreement with the 'admonishments' that were levied on you, I won't say anything counter to what's been said in that regard. What I will say in your defense, though, is that Jeepers are just about the least of 'the problem(s)' out here. I've been out there, in my proverbial back yard, on those trails, for a lot of years, and I've seen far fewer Jeep (et al) tire tracks leading off to places they shouldn't go than most people might believe. ATV tracks, on the other hand.....
