Got our first real dump of that white crap the other day and figured it was time 🤬 to put on the winter tires

Nice!. They make them for tractors also, both 2WD and 4WD.
Just don’t hit any squirrels.
Funny! I've seen them for pickup trucks, but never for cars.
Have never seen anything like that down here in Austin. Didn't know they existed. Of course it is well known that there is nothing more dangerous than a Texan on ice.......

I lived in Pittsburgh PA for a while. It's a hilly area with winding roads. They get snow. One year I got a 4WD truck so I figured I was set for winter. In fact, the 4WD did very well on the snowy hills and I had no real traction problems.
However, there were thousands of people ahead of me clogging up the roads, unable to deal with the snow and ice. 4WD in a city is useless.

Dare I say it's a really smart car !!!!!
Me to, I want one of them. Living in Northern New York that would be great.

As far as the car is concerned, I have a bias against really small cars. I think they are a safety concern.
This stems from around 1957-58, when a friend of mine was killed when the tiny car he was riding in was involved in a collision. There was just not enough metal between him and whatever he hit (or hit him, details unclear after this length of time). The car was an Isetta, tricycle gear, another thing I have a bias against.

Sorry about your friend, cars are made a lot better today, even the small ones. Have you ever read Ralph Nader's "unsafe at any speed"? written in the 60"s (I think) It was instrumental in getting the gov. to pass safety laws for cars.

I recognize that cars are built today with improved standards but my bias persists.
One time I was driving in my truck and some guy going the other way pulled across in front of me. I hit him (not enough time to react). His car sustained significant damage. My truck had a couple scratches and I drove away (after all the paperwork was taken care of). His car was towed.
Those microcars might be OK in cities where the traffic keeps the average speed down, but out in the country I view them as less than safe.

I am hoping you drive a truck because you have a life style that requires it and not because you just want a lot of metal around you. Trucks are notoriously bad on gas, so unless you need a truck, my concern would be for the environment. But that's another topic for another thread.
ps. I was, at one time, a finish carpenter and drove a big 250 Ford van, I loved that truck.
