Some discussion have been going on about art and craft, tight rules and spirit of rules, old techniques and new. Looks like this fellow has set out towards his preference.

He doesn't appear to be a gardener.

I prefer the romance of the Thomas Kincade proprety on the right.

Perhaps some lights in the left hand house would make it more attractive - there’s definitely something lacking. On the other hand I find most Kincade stuff just a little bit sickly. Like his buildings though. Now, about your compositing skills Bob.....

Ah, yes, compositing. I'm working in an area here that has to be done well enough, but not at the fantasy believable level. Intended as art, where technique is often another aspect of Form. Thoughts about that?

You could have turned the lights on in the house on the left or turned them off on the right.

Good setup.

Yes, it works rather well - definitely fit for purpose. Of course your purpose is usually at a bit of a tangent to mine, but I understand what you did here.

Nothing wrong with creating a "fantasy" version if that is what one prefers... as long as one doesn't forget that it is only fantasy, not reality! Or (particularly the case with so much landscape photography nowadays), try to deceive viewers that what they are seeing in the image is how it really looked.
