Elsewhere a poster noted how cameras are evolving and I though of this as a futuristic. The camera mounts in a harness clamped to you. Then two little temple pads attach in some highly creative way. Then when you turn the camera on it points to wherever you are looking. Then you think of composition and the perfect shutter, aperture, ISO, and color balance are automatically set. A mere blink of the eye fires the shot. Fluttering the eyes multiples the shots. Think bright and sunny, gray and somber - the perfect settings automatic. All the technical stuff is taken off your hands leaving with 100% time for artistry. Let us hear your dreams camera-wise.

Some of this already exists for firing systems for fighter pilots. vz

All we need is an interface to our brain - so others can see what we see.
We all ready have lenes (eyes) that can be augmented by additional optics, an image processing sytem (our brian) and a very large storage sytem (our memory).
We are also self powered so no batteries are needed.

First I would need a brain before I could connect an interface.

Guess I have to stick to that really, really old technology ... The DSLR.

Blinking your eyes is a Normal thing that happens several times a minute to keep your eyes lubricated. Does that mean you will be taking several pictures a minute of random stuff? Sounds like you have a lot of work at the end of the day sorting out your shots.

I see good images, in my mind, all the time without any problems. The thing is nobody elese can see them.

Do you expect people in the future will be so averse to physical activity that they no longer will want to use their hands to control and operate devices such as cameras?

Except the average eye blinks 15 to 20 times a minute. The camera would be firing continuously. What about just have it shoot video whenever you press a button on a remote control? Then you could get high quality stills from the video.

Already pretty close to what you described. Google is coming out with an advanced version of their Google Glass.

All this mind control stuff doesn't appeal to me. I would be happy with extremely high noiseless ISO settings and extreme dynamic range with maximum shadow and highlight detail in the most contrasty scenes.

Why, just watch the Disney movie "Wall-e" to see that's precisely where things are headed!

Try to see yourself blink (not wink) in a mirror.
