artBob Loc: Near Chicago

Not a "pretty" picture, and very well done given the subject and its possible implications for us humans. Its "wrong" composition, being heavy on the right, is right for the idea of things moving off, as the story of life in this pic suggests. The artist Pieter Bruegel the Elder "broke" the rule of balance for a similar reason in "The Parable of the Blind."

Suggestions to clean up around the edges or enlarge the flower miss, I think, the whole idea that elevates the photo above the common flower shot. It might be important to you to increase the tonal range of the flower. This would tend to make its former beauty more tragic, but you may have wanted the pallid look.
