One image of many taken this year at a photo workshop at "Out Of Africa" in Arizona.

Camera: Nikon D800
Lens: Nikon 200-500 mm f/5.6
Shot at 200 mm
Exposure: Aperture-priority AE, 1/1,600 sec, f/6.3, ISO 2000, Compensation: -1/3

They have two fences to protect you from the beasts. The photo workshop starts at 6:30AM before the place opens to the public and they have a special ladder to go over the first fence.

Enjoy and comments or questions are always appreciated.

Thanks for looking and your kind comment. H was not happy that we were able to climb over the first safety fence and shoot through his area.If he jumped at us, the instruction was turn around, no eye contact and bend down

That lion is really interesting. One day when I was there, he fixed on one of the viewers and followed him (menacingly). It was interesting, but a bit scary.

A definitive shot of a male lion! I'd hop back over the 2d fence!
