Mt. Kilimanjaro did pop out for a little while! Also got Mt Kenya with giraffe sunset giraffe and evening elephants.
The first photo is nothing short of amazing, and all are wonderful!

You were lucky to get a glimpse of Kilimanjaro. We saw it for about 10 minutes before the clouds moved back in. Mt. Kenya gave us a better view. That trip was in '96. I'd love to go back.

I would go back tomorrow, time and $$$ allowing! It was really special, I had no idea I would fall in love with the land and animals like I did.
Please correct me, isn't Mr K in Tanzania, not Kenya?
What a wonderful experience and great shots!

I felt like it was a spiritual experience that is hard to explain to those who havenβt been there. You probably understand what that connection to the land is now that youβve spent some time there. I had the good fortune to go a second time, a trip to S. Africa in 2009. Of the two trips, Kenya was the best in terms of wildlife sightings and interesting people.
On the first trip, I shot 17 rolls of film with mediocre results. On the second trip, I took a 10 mp digital which vastly improved the keeper rate. I also kept a diary for each trip.
WOW!!!!! Think I've used all the descriptive terms I can think of on your past sets ... really nice assortment of shots. Thanks for sharing them.

I think it's just over the border into Tanzania.

Great PIcs - I like your approach - animals and landscape together - makes a nice change to close-ups,
#1 especially - with the mountain, a herd of ephalumps and the spider in the tree.
