Our recent trip to the Blue Ridge included a stop at The Carolina Raptor Center where we we up close and personal with some of the birds. In fact each of us got really close to two of them. The center had a Eurasian Eagle Owl, a Barn Owl, and an American Kestrel that were accustomed to people and were able to be shown to people outside the wire. We were allowed to wear the glove and had the Barn Owl and Kestrel fly from a perch to our gloved hand. We didn't get to be that close to the Eagle Owl, but we were close to its handler as it flew to her.
We were told where to stand, so we had no control over the background, so the pictures aren't wall-hangers.
