I've got an ongoing project with my daughters and their friends doing what we're calling Urban Dance. Periodically we go to different locations/Cities and spend a few hours taking fun photos. This series was taken at or near Russell Sage College in Troy NY.

lol. I mean B&W works for many things and I like it in certain situations....just not with pretty women.

I hear you. LoL. There are times my wife like B&W and I totally disagree, but then again sometimes I like a photo and she hates it. Go figure. Have a good day. I'm going out with the camera later today.

What a unique and wonderful project! Those are delightful images as well. Seems like this concept would make an interesting and worthwhile coffee table book or even a short film.

Thanks! I have done several of these thus far with a variety of other dancers that are friends with our daughters.

Man you're lucky to have all those great looking models at your disposal. *jealous*

Yes, at this stage of life with our daughters ages being what they are, I'm lucky enough to have 16-17 year old models most of the time.

love your project and the pictures....my daughter is also in dance (ballet, pointe, tap and jazz); so have you done any theater/show shots? Would love to see them and hear what you have done to overcome the lighting on stag. I've done quite a few in the last few years, always a challenge to get that special shot!

Nice work. I love both 1 & 2, but not that fond of 3. It might be the pose, or the BG, or the lamppost blaring out of her head, that seems to be stealing all the interest from her beauty.
