I guess I got another Win10 update, but I didn't know it was happening. I just noticed that "My Files" and My Pictures" has reverted to "Documents" and "Pictures." That's what happens with each update. I suppose I can expect Windows to work much better now.
Often wondered why they used the "My " prefix.
Whose else would they be?

I think that goes way back in Windows history, just like the "My Computer" on the desktop. I just decided to keep it.
When I clicked on "Shut Down" last night it told me it was going to update THEN shut down.

That's what it usually does, but I didn't shut down last night. Maybe it updated in its sleep???
I just updated a short while ago....

They're not referring to "Your" files. Microsoft labelled them. They're Microsoft's files now.
I hadn't used my computer for about a month. So for the last 2 days, that's about all it's done is update. Frustrating, at least to me.

I always rename the "My" folders to things like "My Slow Computer" and "My Blurry Pictures."
If MS owns the Windows on my computer, and I'm just using it with their permission, will they send someone to the house to fix it when it messes up?
