Now for a slight change in direction. This is Holly, she is the essential modern woman that I tend to work with. they have beauty. Brainy, inquisitive, slightly inadequate about themselves, driven, mostly bored with men, but really quite drawn to the male part of the human race and mostly find men quickly a waste of their time and an interference to their desires. Over sexed but looking for romance and a man to really love.

The first image is a portrait that she wanted to give her parents, she chose the out fit and how she wanted the image to look. It was to be a clear crisp silver gelatin print that was to be brown toned. The print was an 11X14 framed print.

Holly had taken a basic B&W introductory class in darkroom and then a studio lighting class. She was just finishing her senior year in high school. After she graduated high school and was enrolled at UTSA I did the portrait. After the print was finished she wanted to do figure modeling and I showed her loads of books and prints of 30's to 60's pin up photography. That was the bases of the second image.

Holly wanted something more modern, more erotic in the styling of both fashion and pure nude images. So that brought the third images. She had moved out from home, going to university and was bored to tears. It was about that time that Holly meet Laura, who was a figure model for my school and going to the local community collage. Holly liked Laura and was trying to get Laura to switch to UTSA. Holly was extremely intelligent while Laura made the two of us look like dunces. Laura had learned German so she could better understand the modern German philosophers, she especially liked the writings of Martin Heidegger.

Laura came from an average middle class family, Holly relied on her father for money, but he was rich, but controlling. Holly wanted her trust fund (1.2 million) so she could buy a new car. Daddy said she would get a year old sensible car. Holly wanted a brand new Lexis, and by God she would have it!

So Holly and Laura (she was fine with a year old sensible car but she got a bus pass!). Big parental mistake! So Laura and Holly moved in together. In a few weeks Laura had her sensible car and became the driver for Holly and herself, in less than five months Holly had her new Lexis and was paying for their apartment.

It was the high point for strip clubs and the girls knew how to make loads of $MONEY$.

So the girls made loads of money, dated and did photographs with me and loads of others. The last images is of Holly doing pin up, laying in among furs. Shot with a Hasselblad and 50 Distagon (type I/non T* series lens) looking straight down. I was having trouble with the PC sync cord (as is so often the case), I left the studio and went a repaired the cord. When I returned she was sound asleep among the furs! So I did other things and left her to sleep. Some hour or so later she came out of the studio looking for me. We went back and made the image then went to have dinner. Miss money bags paid!

Thank you so vary much for the complement! the association to the work of Bob Carlos Clarke is vary spot on.

Holly loved Carlos Clarke's styling of work and brought examples of his work to show that styling as a means to represent the type of image she wanted to emulate. She liked these a lot.

I used the Hasselblad with 50 Distagon to make images that were quite fluid, soft boxes and Norman Studio Flash to make the captures.

At first I thought this was going to be another good post. Then I got to #4. It ruined it for me. I’m no prude, but that pose reminds me of Larry Flint more than Bob Carlos.

Then you know nothing about Bob Carlos Clarke. #4 is entirely in line with BCC's work.

Nice work there Tim.
Classic color in the images and the story really helps the curiosity of models we see on your posts and others too of course.
I would hope the poor little semi-rich girl grew up and matured to a point that she could find a good man. There are good men out there. Ahhh to be young again.
Thanks for posting these.

But you did not mention it in your comment, did you? 🤔

However, I am not going to get into a urination match with a fan of “Timmers” posts, so go ahead and flame me. You get the last word. Happy?

Lol, not going to flame you, but perhaps recommend you try and get a copy of BCC's book "Shooting Sex". For the record BCC was quoted in one interview as not being too happy with the print quality of images in his earlier books, so "Shooting Sex" is going to give you the best representation.

Actually it became sort of a pain in the ass for me, she wanted 8X10 glossy toned RC prints that she signed and sold at the club for I think $100 each. Loads of money for her. She also gave them as souvenirs to 'special' clients. Somewhere I have a signed print but don't remember where.

Gents, Larry Flint smut? Well I must say that I have loads of work that the Hog does not allow on here, so yes, 'Larry Flint smut', could be. Then again the work of the likes of Man Ray The Four Seasons and his Playboy Pin Up Series wit Animals are no-no's, you have to go to publications to view these works housed in major museums in the US and around the world. That Man Ray and M. Duchamp, smut peddlers! Oh, and that Bettie Page, oh the shame! LOL!!!
