Floyd2 asked about seeing Kruger shots in black & white. I wasn't sure how they'd look but I was pleasantly surprised after spending some time on a few. I'd value your feedback.

Stunning!!!! I think those are awesome in B&W ... probably a factor of having a good eye & taking some great photos with contrast. Nice job. Thanks for sharing. You, Photolady2014, Sark17 & Dave in Dallas are really setting the bar very high for anyone else to show Africa photos. But I'm loving 'em.

As often happens with black and white, we see the subject or scene a bit more abstract - as shadows, light and forms. For me this is especially true with #1. Simply wonderful!

The other that I think most benefits from b&w is the dusty scene with the water buffalo. Very engaging with the herd disappearing into the distance and the great contrast of the nearest dark bodies and the scrub brush.

Those are stunning in B&W. I had forgotten how superior B&W can be over color. The elephant is just simply awesome.

Thanks Linda. My first attempt at the buffalo herd made me think it wouldn't work. It just took a little more effort to get the contrast right. I appreciate your feedback.

Thanks so much. I don't know why I didn't do some in B&W before. I almost always do my people portraits in B&W.
