Took this shot back in April and accidentally overlooked it. I discovered it a couple of weeks ago. I like it so much I decided to post it even though it’s a little out of season.
Beautiful! Looks like there's a separate sleeping area above for mom and dad
Very cool. Little fuzz balls. vz

I can't believe you overlooked it the first time... it's just lovely. The texture of those chicks makes me want to reach out and touch them. <3

I visited Magnolia Plantation at the end of March! <3 I didn't take the swamp tour though. We only had a couple of hours there and I'm more of a garden/flowers person. What a great photo you captured!
Did you get any of Mr. Gregarious Peacock at the front entrance? He was schmoozing with the crowd the whole time we were there. ;-)

I took about 40 shots and thought I had selected the best one. Earlier this week I looked back through them and presto I found this one. Most of the others included mom and dad. Didn’t get the peacock.

Well... that was an awesome catch. <3 If a person had enough time, the Audubon tour would definitely be worth it. You were certainly ready to capture it!
I'll attach a few of Mr. Peacock and a couple of the area I spent more time in ... for those who might not realize what a treat the place is on so many levels. Beautiful! <3 I took a micro 4/3rds camera (Lumix G85) and am still working out the bugs from my RAW editing skills... but I hope it lets people know what sorts of things are there in addition to the swamp. It was overcast the day we visited and even rained a little, which was probably a good thing for lighting. It's just that our time there wasn't during the most optimal for photo taking.

Beautiful photos. I have a family membership but don’t go to Magnolia often except in Springtime as I live 60 miles away

Lucky you! <3 I'll bet it's beautiful in all seasons but it is hard to compete with the intense color azaleas provide in spring. Do you visit Middleton Place? I love that one also.
