Hi,
Can I start by saying I love images more than words as is evident below (most of my embarrassment with words have been saved thank MS Word spell checker )
Where to start:
I picked up a Canon D1000 SLR camera after a number of years using a point and shoot camera and found it had all changed from my old 2nd hand Canon AE1 and its so much better in all areas (I only play at taking photos so please forgive me if I offend anyone).
I think I have some nice pictures but as I havent been able to share my photos for a number of years I would welcome any helpful comments from my fellow photographers. Thought I would start with the latest,
I look forward to engaging with you all at some point in the future

blue bell woods

life is a beech
Beautiful especially the bee on the flower.
#1 at first glance I felt it had too much green foreground but after dividing it into 1/3s it balanced well - good photo.
#2 is a little blurry to me - a good composition -
#3 Is a very very good photo.
First of all welcome to UHH. Secondly dont apologize, after you see more postings you will know that everyone fits in one way or another. And thirdly I like you shots; keep posting.
Thanks for your comments as it helps to get other photographers views, (I do appreciate a practical critique as I dont feel I know very much about photography, but I am keen)
Im still trying to figure out how to work these pages so I can see how everyone else is doing and participate in sharing of ideas through imagery. Z
Ps Happy Birthday for tomorrow
Very nice. You have talent. No doubt about it.
The first one looks like it was done in HDR. Great shot but, it looks like the light was falling off to the right too abruptly.
Loved all three. Agree with Stevie, you've got talent. Thanks for sharing. Hope to see more of your work. Henry newbie here. :-)
You have managed to catch the Bluebell Woods at just the right time. Any other season the scene would be mundane. The flowers bring a motion to the scene that almost seems like water. The other two are good too, but #1 is the keeper.
Nice shots and all 3 have redeeming qualities independent from one another. Appears you have flexed your imagination and that's always a good thing. Keep those shots coming and welcome to the Hog...............
way pretty, great use of colors. The atmosphere of the b & w speaks volumes too.
