SD card to XQD adapter

Does anyone know of an SD or micro SD card adapter that will work in an XQD card slot (D850 or Z6)? I've used micro sd card adapters to SD format and SD to CF adapters but nothing for XQD slots.

I don’t think it is possible. The XQD format is the new compact flash, it is a completely different format from SD format. The pins are different and the control and data signals are different. It’s like trying to hook up a semi trailer to a ship.

Below is a Link to a good article summarizing the different types of memory.

I'm sure that JD750 above is correct. It's a completely different format. My D500 has one XQD slot and one SD UHS-II slot. I would rather use XQD cards because they are much stronger than SD or SD UHS-II cards. SD UHS-II cards are even weaker than SD UHS-I cards because of the extra row of contacts on the back. It takes away from the casing.

This is what I use. If you can afford XQD cards, you can afford this.

Thanks for this link. This is the best I have read on memory cards. There was a picture of a SanDisk CF 512mb card. That's a tiny bit of storage, as compared to today's memory cards.
