Kruger National Park - The Day of the Zebra

Here are a few shots of the Plains Zebra, sometimes called Burchell's Zebra. Prior to my visit, I hadn't noticed that they have shadow stripes along with the black ones. Compared to some of the other animals, Zebras didn't appear to have much personality. There were usually herds of them - probably for protection since they are favourite big cat prey. But it was fairly easy to get photos of isolated singles or pairs. As with the giraffes, I didn't see any babies, although there were several pregnant females.
