More evidence of your good eye, Graham! The photograph that tells a story without need for explanation.

Thanks Mike, just as well the picture tells a story because I have no idea what's going on. Perhaps giving directions.

I like it. You caught the "decisive moment". Very good!!
The "story", to me, is "sharing the knowledge".

I love this, and everything it says and represents. Great capture.

Photography is a form of story telling. The environs expound on the point of focus. As "story tellers", we choose the vision that we see in the scene to present. The viewer interprets the scene using their comprehension with their own personal experience.

"And this is how you win the solitaire game!"

Great shot.

That is one first-rate capture. As Mike said, the photo says it all without interpretation.

Thanks to all those that commented

"Good eye", "decisive moment". These are never achieved by running around searching for them, pick a spot and stand and stare. Be alone, it doesn't happen if you are with others, a group of photographers looks like a wolf pack

This is marvelous, Graham. Was this a "grab shot" or a posed one? Your DOF is perfect. The subjects are beautifully separated from the background.

I never arrange anything, it is all "faithfully recorded" It is what happened.

I get a lot of duds! Some times I can spend all day wandering around a city and still come home with nothing worthwhile. Although people-watching is never wasted time
