iPad and PS advice needed

Has anyone looked into or installed the newly released Photo Shop for iPad? Last I used PS was the 90’s on a PC. I installed Affinity, which I think is a great program, but the learning curve for me has been challenging. I was about to install the trial till I saw the price, $240.00 per year! And yes I remember when it was $500 - $600 in the 90’s but I owned it! Here, if after the year I do not renew will adobe lock me from my photos?
Looking for input please

The release of Photoshop for the IPad is getting REALLY Poor Reviews. https://petapixel.com/2019/11/09/photoshop-for-ipad-is-getting-terrible-early-reviews/?mc_cid=75739a516d&mc_eid=94411c48bf

$240, is that with the rest of the photography plan? Sounds like the bigger package they have.

PS for the iPad is not really a standalone product, so if you don’t already belong to the Adobe Creative Cloud program (which is a subscription at $120/year or up depending on how much storage you buy) you don’t want the iPad product.

I use Affinity on my desktop. I don't see PS having a smaller learning curve, they are pretty similar. With that said , I have only done some very basic steps with it like , removing objects, resize, print, & some very basic adjustments. For my basic development adjustments I like LR6 better, maybe because that's what I started out with & am use to. I do not use PS but there is way more learning content for PS than AP. Some of the vids I have watched seem easier to follow for PS than the ones for AP. You should be able to download a free trial of the PS for Ipad to play with.

Either way , Good luck, Tom

If you purchase the Photography plan by Jan 31 2020 its included for the $9.99 per month. After that its $20.99 for photoshop on a desktop & Ipad.
