That’s just the sort of inviting lane my Landrover loves Graham. Makes me so popular with the walkers too - they all want to chat but I don’t have the time to stop! A very pleasant scene, nicely processed and the central composition suits it well.
Wow, if ever I wanted to visit England, this is the scene that would get my passport stamped So beautiful!
Curiosity questions: which came first, the wall or the building? What is just out of sight on left; is it an opening to reach that small space between the structure and the nearest part of the wall? Why/what/how?

Now that is a chicken and egg question. Constructional wise the walls appear to be built into the barn but the track would pre-date the barn. The walled lanes were built to aid the movement of livestock usually from the lower winter pastures up to the higher summer grazing. I guess the small area to the front of the barn is an animal pen.
