Evidence regarding what waffle boy? Are you expecting me to provide documented evidence of every point made? In a word, look it up. Prove me wrong. Remember as your daddy, dirt, used to tell you when you sat upon his knee, Google is your friend.

Have a great day. Happy Veterans Day, oh, never mind, you didn’t make the cut.

Well said my friend. waffle boy seems to have made the cut ONLY for changing light bulbs. But for him that may be the best he can offer society.

Seriously thinking now would you really have wanted waffle boy thom around you in a combat situation? I would think not. I would not want him around me in a coffee shop.

True, he was a part of the problem but he did not escalate like LBJ.

I can respect you for having done what you felt you were called to do, if you can extend the same to me. Life can be tough, and most of us do our best to figure out what our next move should be. I'm sure we both did what we felt was in the best interest of our country. You must have done many things since Vietnam that you consider accomplishments. Why pick this one? I've tried to get along with you. I'll support you when I feel that is right, and I'll argue when I feel that is the right thing to do. We see the world differently, so we will disagree a lot, but making it personal just takes away from wh**ever point either of us is trying to make. The ball is in your court. Peace cannot be unilateral. By the way, I did nothing illegal or even questionable. I was making my case as a conscientious objector when Nixon came out with the lottery. I received a high number and selective service notified me that my case would be on hold till such time as it appeared my number might be called. I didn't dodge the draft. I also didn't enlist to fight in a war that I felt was immoral.

Part of the problem—-on the brink of a cease fire, he committed treason by telling his South Vietnam liaison to stop all talk of peace, to sabotage Johnson’s peace efforts and ensure Nixon’s victory over Humphrey.
LBJ at the time was desperately trying to end the war.

OK, I guess you are due some respect for having saved South Vietnam from c*******m, except you didn't. Remind me again about what it was you accomplished that I should be ashamed of not having been part of. I h**e to relitigate that war, especially considering your advanced age and limited grasp, but you seem unable to let it go. Are you sure this is an argument you want? There must be many things we could discuss, including some we would agree on, but if this is the one you have chosen to try to prove your man hood, let's have at it.

WOW thom. Did someone strike a nerve with you. I saw nobody mentioning anything about Vietnam at all.

Listen to you little waffle boy threatening him as you try to do to me. "Are you sure this is an argument you want?", you ask. Give us a break thom. What are you going to do? Even verbally you have lost every single argument you have ever even attempted to win. You don't argue anyway. You only regurgitate the crap from some other Liberal. Then you pick up on THAT conversation and come up with something like, Yeah what he said. That is all you have my friend, the rantings of somebody else on the Left. You have nothing of your own to offer. Haven't you figured that out about you yet? Even the other Liberals here do not support you. How could they? They would only be supporting what they have just said themselves.

What you don't seem to realize thom is that people who have served in the military don't have to prove a damn thing to anybody. They have already been there and done that. Millions have been there and never come home. Others have been there and come home but much of their life is still there. That isn't any complaint from me either waffle boy. It is just a statement of fact that you have no say about. It just IS.

Here you are trying to minimize what those of us who did serve during the Vietnam time period accomplished. Why would that be thom? Look at what you said above. Those of you who did not serve seem determined to put down those who did. Why is that?

It must really suck to have started out as a cop, and have to end your career as a guard. At least you didn't end up as a mall cop. Or did you? "Welcome to Wal-Mart".

francine just about every post on here from another source is plagiarized isn't it? Do you seriously believe that every post from somewhere else is the OP's own idea even when it is signed by someone from AP or some news source? Really francine? Do you think that? OR are you just taking the opportunity to try to put me down? Is this the best you can do? REALLY???

Score another in the continuing parade of losses for francine of the Liberal persuasion.

Now show us where that post is untrue.

Most police forces demand an AA. Obviously, if you were even a cop, yours didn't.

I went in in 61, had never heard of Vietnam, thought it was still French Indochina. Didn’t learn we were at war until 1964 when we finished ORI on my second WESTPAC cruise. We were called in to the ready room and told in 5 days we would be in the South China Sea and at war. It was too late to quit. So I just did what I was trained to do. I h**ed the war, but more than that, I h**ed the fact politicians would not let us win, much like Korea.

Now there you go again waffle boy trying to insult me and what I have accomplished. Apparently from your post you look upon cops and prison correctional officers as lower class citizens just as did Al Gore and the Clintons. They and you truly do have that opinion of Americans who are not in the upper political class.

Just so you know thom I am rather proud of everything I have done as an American. While Liberals were fighting to stay out of the Vietnam war I couldn't wait to join the Marine Corps and get into the war. My twin brother had similar views and joined up as soon as we could. As for going into law enforcement our grandfather was a LEO in the 40's and 50's so it was family upbringing to go into the law enforcement business. As for being a correctional officer it was something I never wanted to do but ended up being my second best job after law enforcement. Money wasn't great but self satisfaction from doing a necessary job that others such as yourself would not have the sk**ls nor mentality to do.

But looking back on my careers thom I am proud of what I did, what I accomplished in working with others even convicted felons who I know I imparted some positive wisdom to. I have saved a few lives and have the commendations for it. I have also gotten people off the street that deserved to be in a prison cell for the rest of their life.

But what of you waffle boy. Tell us what, if anything, you have personally done for America, for your town or city. What is it about yourself that your friends and co workers look up to and respect/admire about you? Tell us your tales of derring do, how you kept someone from committing crimes, how you talked several people out of committing suicide and the like. Tell us thom why any of us should have the slightest respect for what you have done in your life to make America better.

Do not tell us how you support the military and law enforcement. We already know you support neither one of those respected (not by Liberals) professions.

We will all be right here,

Dennis
