The young lady looks as if she is studying--or doing the daily crossword.
This is an excellent capture, Graham. Congratulations to you for seeing this one.

Nicely caught Graham. We certainly get the sense of 'place' and she's obviously in deep thought about her list or whatever - the whole story is there. There's an interesting light reflection on her face from somewhere? Well worth downloading to view.

My local coffe house is the most interesting place to watch people. I think you've found a new spot to people watch, Graham. The trick, now, is to shoot from inside the cafe. I know that might be trickier than imagined. I could never study and drink coffee. If I did the coffee would cool off and I like my coffee hot. This isn't much of a critique, Graham. Sorry about that. I've always enjoyed what you do.

Definitely studying John, she's a student here in Cambridge and we residents of Cambridge know a student when we see one

I like to shoot through the glass as the reflections adds so many components to the picture.

the background reflections are also as interesting as the subject. Makes me want to ponder what is going on back there,as well. I enjoy images that tell a story and this one does just that. Choosing b&w over color is definitely perfect for this image...color would make it too busy, I think.

Very effective empty space in top left add volumes to this. Nicely done.

Memories. Great shot Graham. Before the country went to hell we had shops like that along the Avenue in Berkeley, California.
