Horizontal horizons are usually expected unless there is some desired outcome or benefit. Though interesting, #1 isn't particularly sharp. The balance are rather dark on my monitor. The flying dot in the last is a distraction, even if it is not something on the sensor. That shot is one nearly every photographer has in his collection - particularly of they live or travel in the West. The trick is to find a point of difference from all the others. Monochrome is difficult - good luck as you move forward.

Understood.. and I don't believe I asked for a critique here. But let me point out something to those who feel their cameras are less than perfect.

This Image..

..was taken back in 2014 with.. a Fujifilm XP60 camera.. What?? You can't be serious.. Yes I'm serious. This camera was not known to have good image quality. A small rugged camera that has been dropped by me several times. Plus the camera was actually broken and I didn't use a tripod. So to anyone who thinks their camera can't take good pictures hasn't explored all of their camera's possibilities.

I wonder what or how this shot would turn out today if I used my new/refurbished M6.

Great composition and processing.
But there is no part of the tracks and ties in focus, Suggest using a smaller f stop, like f22, then focus half way into the curve of the tracks.

Quoting is not necessary as long as one simply uses the @ and users name.

Good suggestion, but currently I'm unable to turn or twist the knobs/dials on the camera. Nor am I able to adjust anything on the small view screen. Currently, I've been allowing the camera to make the adjustment for me, until I get my new tethered tablet setup.

Along the same lines of "Not so Perfect Cameras" I took this shot back in 2010.

Simply called "Shadow Forest" it was taken while driving on the blue ridge parkway. Although this is a copy of a lost original, it was taken with.. Kodak easyshare M1903IS placed on the roof of our car. Setting the timer I then placed a red filter in front of the lens as indicated by the vignetting in the lower left and right.

And.. if you think that you camera can't take pictures.. then you're either trying to hard or you're not open to the camera's possibilities. I still think this is one of the best images taken with a cheap camera that I've drop nearly 50 times but it never survived.

In this case, isn’t it obvious that I am referring to the original post?

Well, I have a tendency to assume nothing! You could have been referring to the image that I posted.

At the top, just below the second tree from the right, there's a triangular, white object that draws my eye and throws your beautiful image into near total chaos. The image is too good to let such a thing interfere with its effect.

The eye is drawn to light objects, and unless the object in question is what you want your viewers to focus on, tone it down.

Again, it's a beautiful image.
