Thank you, but:

I guess it depends upon how you read it.

Got it.

I can see where it could be interpreted either way!

I like shooting with the extended grip and L-Plate for easy carry on my shoulder strap or quick deployment to a tripod or mono. Many miles of use!

I wonder if the OP's lack of response answers that question?

Lack of response due to having so much to do after being gone for 27 days and having many images to work on! I'm surprised more people don't see the same type of batteries not working in both cameras as bad for consumers and that "Nikon" batteries being the solution. In this day and age of environmentalism doesn't bother others that batteries are so proprietary when any battery of specified volts and amperage should work in the same type of camera?

Buy the battery pack for the 850 end of problems used EN-EL18a problem solved the battery that EN-EL15 just will not cut it I am a world traveler I use a D5 and a D850 you can make the setting in the camera to use the EN-EL 15 for back only Mike

I keep thinking of trying the 18a- a buddy has one in his grip- but it's 10 volts.
My 15a are only 7 volts. Did you ever experience any issues with the voltage difference?
