and he won! He's the new 2012 World Grand Champion Yearling. There were 19 or 20 in his class.
Beautiful horse! You must be enjoying yourself at the event, it just seems like a "happy photo"!

Thank you.
I'm back home now, Danilo. It was a great vacation. 10 days of horse show at night and time spent on a 475 acre farm with it's own mountain at the back, stone walls built in the 1700s and lakes, streams, geese, donkeys, horses, cattle, deer. I have been to the same championships every year for 43 years. I must love it. I had NO WiFi, so I had UH withdrawals for 10 days.
:-(
What a regal looking animal, seems his win was justified from what I see. Sounds as if you enjoyed yourself and that is a very good thing.

Thank you. YES, a lot of fun. He was the best moving colt in the class. They judge more for that than for looks, but to me, he had the best looks and confirmation over all the rest, giving him a triple vote from me.
And may you have many many more shows to go to... What a gorgeous horse....

Thanks, Don. There were some in the class that were beautiful colors, with beautiful markings, but he moved the best and had far more style and class.
Yearling? Wow that boy is something!

Congratulations, beautiful horse and coloring. What breed? TN Walker, Saddlebred?

Thank you Angler. I made the picture just after they parked in to be juged. His color wasn't as pretty as some, but he was an excellent individual.

Thank you, MLMH. Tennessee Walker. A better show than they have had in years!
Haven't the cruel methods of training walkers to slink and high step been outlawed. Used to live in TN and loved going to horse shows, but now in NC mountains where there are few horses.
So, I am guessing that your "fix" lasts just short of 1 year. I am glad that you can still enjoy it after 43 years never letting it get old.
By the way, some one needs to feed him a little more. He is way too skinny. Perhaps I am just used to quarter horses. Lol.
