I have not shot soccer in 10+ years. My son and this young man play basketball together and his mom asked if I could take some photos of his last home game. Here is one.

Nice pix, always get a good variety. Younger kids are usually my favorite just because of the expressions.

fantastic soccer image Bulldog1jack... you've captured this keeper at the zenith of action... fierce pivotal moment... loving the vivid color harmonies latent within...
Your D4s was certainly up to the task especially paired with one of the finest "Sport" Nikkors... the incredible AF-S 200-400mm f/4G ED IF VR... That optic has been a fav amongst soccer shooters across the pond... after two decades that lens still is cherished on the soccer pitch... albeit at over 7lbs a monopod is virtually mandatory... It is one of the few zoom Nikkors that is razor sharp even wide open!
