For basketball she uses a Nikon D5 with either a Nikon 70-200 f4 or a Nikon 24-85 f3.5-4.5 lens. All the photos I posted were with the 70-200.
Settings:
ISO 5000
1/1250 sec at 4.5
We both use manual exposure.
We have 2 assigned spots on the floor. I have the one in the corner furthest from the goal, her’s is the next one towards the basket.
Of course we can move and shoot wide under the basket.
We both have been shooting Marshall sports for over 40 years. It’s part of my full-time job as photographer at Marshall. She likes to shoot sports and is very good at it.
"...We both have been shooting Marshall sports for over 40 years... muphoto this! There is absolutely no substitute for experience... a.k.a. photographic excellence isn't a consumer product it is predominately a result of wisdom gleaned from countless failures within an epic journey... Those who have come to love the journey excel... It is clearly obvious that both you and your better half find considerable joy within the journey... So wonderful you both can share this together... a dream within a dream...
Again thank you so much for sharing your breathtaking photo artistry...

Thanks!
I started shooting Marshall sports In 1972 when I was a student there. After graduation I work about two years at a newspaper then came to this job in 1979 and Marilyn started then.
In our younger days and when Marshall was in the MAC, we would load up the family and go to many of the games. We don’t do that much anymore and I am retiring in January

Wow I am truly impressed. These shots are spot on. Put a frame on them.
I have been shooting sports for over 50 years and can appreciate your talent and time spent. You can tell when a photographer has a gift, you have just that you and your wife.
Good luck on your retirement. I retired about 8 years ago and love it.
