Sony RX10 MIV Firmware Update

Anyone else having issues trying to install a 2.0 firmware update to the RX120 MIV. I can't get the software to recognize that the camera is connected to the PC. Thanks for your help.

That update was release in August 2014 (over 5 years ago) for the RX10M1. Your RX10M4 was released way after that date (Sept 2017) so should be OK as shipped. Current version for the RX10M4 is Version 1.00. I just checked and no firmware updates for the camera have released.

There is an update for the RX10m4 coming, according to Sony. It is said to include eye-AF for animals as well as us humans. I will be interested to see if can do that for birds.

The title of your post refers to “Sony RX10 MIV’ but you say specifically you are trying to update the firmware on a “RX120 MIV.” Very confusing. Perhaps that is why it is not updating?

I made a typo its a RX10 not RX12. Sorry, thanks for pointing that out.
