Nice picture and I wonder why there's no flow....

Did you notice your camera settings??? ISO 3200 and shutter of 1/8000th. Do you always use such a high ISO?

Wow, I wonder how often that happens. I lived in central CA during a couple of major droughts in the 1970's - scary times.

A beautiful photo of the rugged rocks, however. Re your shutter speed and ISO: a major OOPS or doing some testing?

I was on vacation one time and I accidentally butt bump set my ISO to 4000 and didn't notice it till I got home. It was a real bummer. All the shots were in bright sunlight and all could have been done at 100 or 200.

Nice photo. The fall is the best time to encounter smaller crowds at Yosemite, but in many years there is minimal water in the falls in the fall. Hard choice..

I had a similar problem in my recent Africa trip--I apparently moved the wheel and got the shutter set to 1/8000 without any ISO improvement and a few pictures were very dark. (The camera was set on shutter priority.) It happens.

I would have never imagined no water spilling over.

Same thing happened to me in Australia a couple years ago. That's why I ALWAYS chimp the first few photos every day I shoot.
