Trying Macro for the first time

Most of my posts here have been of travel, landscape and wildlife. I purchased a Tokina macro lens recently to go with my Nikons. These are some of the first shots I took with it. Very pleased with the results and looking forward to getting better with it.

Nice work. The next step is to use photo stacking where you take N photos moving the focus such that every inch of the object is in focus. Need a tripod and patience.

Thanks Doug. Will definitely try that. I have the camera, lens and tripod. Now if I can just find the patience.

Really nice! I've got the Nikon 105mm and love it. But I have a Tokina UWA and it's a fine lens. Nothing wrong with 3rd party lenses IMHO.

Rob, excellent set and you will find that this lens not only works great for macro photos but any photo where the length is suitable.
