When photographing birds photographers always focus on the eyes. If you miss it/them, chances are that the image is not acceptable. Many of us check our skill by magnifying the image when editing. It is a great way to assess the quality of both your technique and gear. The following are a few of my favorite close ups, which one is yours? Enjoy the downloads and double downloads. Most were taken with a Nikon D850 and Tamron G2 600.

They're all great, but I'm partial to the redhead

Very nice shots. I was raised in Louisiana. Lots of wildlife there. I need to go back home and photograph the pelicans. I was a Crime Scene Photographer for years. I don’t hunt with a firearm anymore. Saw too much death. I do hunt with a camera now

Terrific set of images. Hard to choose a favorite. After my trip to the Everglades earlier this year I can truly appreciate your skill in capturing these.

Terrific shots. What's up with the gators jaw? It looks as though it had been harpooned and then the rope was cut. Gary
