Thoughtfully composed, as always, with a strong sense of place. Does the distant fence indicate this is an area where sheep graze?

You have sharp eyes, Linda. I had to really blow it up to find the fence!

This is beautiful in its raw ruggedness! I love how the low clouds are skimming the mountain tops.

Thank you Linda. Sheep in this part of the world are largely unconstrained and for the most part graze where they want. A fence like this is probably to provide some sort of separation between different estates or communities and it will prevent the sheep from intermingling freely. Deer, on the other hand, jump a fence like that easily.

Thank you Carol. Glad you enjoyed. That is just a pale representation of how cloudy and misty it can get on the moors and amongst the mountains.

Very interesting image. I can't think of the best words for it but for lack of better, it captures the mood of the place very well, at least on that day. Thanks for posing it.

Same here. I only did that after I had admired the composition and formulated my response. I was just curious if I could find a critter among the rocks

R.G., thanks for the info. I've witnessed deer and bighorn sheep jumping fences around here. Effortless, definitely.

Thank you Mike. Glad you enjoyed. Sometimes the rocky stuff starts before you get to the mountains.
