Was there last weekend. Pretty amazing.
I think image 5 is the best also. I remember a number of years ago when the lake levels were so low that the oar boats couldn't carry a full load. Now the water is too high. The point is that the climate swings back and forth and changes all the time.
Lkee #5. And #8 because of the composition with the curve of the road.
Too dangerous to get closer?
Nice pictures, they look like lake Michigan in late Fall.
Nice shots. Grat action pics.
It's not called Chiberia for nothing.

I went down to the big lake (Lake Michigan) this AM. These pics show a little of the wave action when the winds hit 54 mph. Very little or no beach left due to erosion. Several homes along the shoreline from South Haven to Traverse City are in danger of falling into the lake. Dune erosion has exceeded 40 feet this year alone due to higher than normal water levels and high winds. Bear in mind the high winds and gales on the Great Lakes usually come in November not October.
Any and all comments are welcomed. (What can I do better or differently?)

I have visited that area (Frankfort, Elberta, Manistee,Pt Betsie Light, Sleeping Bear Dunes, etc.) Here they use boulders and other means to prevent erosion along Lake Erie's shore.
Good reason for me to be from here in the pacific northwest
