I drove from SW Michigan down through northern Indiana then south to Cincinnati, along the lower southern edge of Ohio, hoping to leaf peep along the way. It poured down rain most of the way, so this rest stop picture through the windshield near Van Wert OH is the best I could get.
The colors are nearing their peak in Michigan, but still plenty of green. Down through Indiana and Ohio it's about halfway - lots of yellows, lots of golden corn fields, still lots of greens. Here's hoping the colors are near peak when I drive back Saturday! And not raining!
Tomorrow I will be flying to Atlanta and from there will head toward the Tennessee-Carolinas States looking for some color. I hope there will be some at the Smokey Mountains otherwise I will keep going North to reach Virginia.
There has been plenty of rain in Georgia so it could be mostly brown by now but I am hopeful.
Thank you for your report.

According to the fall leaf prdiction map, Virginia is just coming to peak. Georgia and the Carolinas are partial. Because of the cold wet fall the colors are a couple weeks late this year. Good luck on your trip! Hope it stays dry!
