This female is quite young as indicated by the color of the beak. We had a juvenile male in the yard not long ago. Its good to know Cardinals are breeding locally.

Joe, one of my favorite birds for me because I seem to be able to capture them on a regular basis. Lovely photo and I have 3 or 4 pairs breedng in the woods I have in the back yard.

Nice one - like we have around here.
Nice photo of her! We have them year-round here, so they must be breeding and nesting nearby. Surrounded by wetland woods and farm fields, so plenty of habitat. They have a pretty song, too.
Very nice detail, we have several pairs hanging around the yard.
