Why does the US tolerate -- in fact, laud and capitalize on -- the political biases of SCOTUS nominees? I thought courts were supposed to be impartial regarding political issues, and were not even supposed to bring personal bias into decisions. To claim stacking the courts as a measure of success in office just seems wrong.
