A young Coopers Hawk caught dinner just outside my kitchen window. Protective, almost like a mother protecting her baby.

Were there any other raptors flying? Have watched ospreys and hawks doing the same thing if intruders were around. Great shots!

I was too busy shooting to look. I figured that when it noticed me it would fly away- which it did

This is a fantastic pair of shots. The kind I hope to get every time I see a hawk or eagle. The only time I had the chance...no camera except the iPhone, dang me. And I was close! I did get a little video.
