These are excellent shots. You know what you are doing. Keep it up and please post more. Thanks
Tom
Where are the ODU players? These coulda been shot during warm ups! Excellent exposure but no opponent!

They were not shot during warm ups!
I work at Marshall University and my photos are primarily used in promotions for this and next season.
We need photos of Marshall players, not the opponent. If you look at the defense photos, you will see many ODU players.

Nice work here. Good lighting, etc.
Exposure and sharpness spot on. They do tend to be horizon-ly challenged.
Very nice. What camera ? Lens ? Settings ? Thanks.
Paul
The offense plays against opponents as well! If you’re gonna promo the D with opponents why not the offense???

Thanks Paul
These were shot with a Nikon D850 with either a 400mm f2.8 lens or my 70-200 f4 lens depending on the distance i was from the action.
I usually shoot sports in Aperture mode set at f4 for day games, with an ISO of 200. At that time of day, some were strongly backlit so on some I over exposed by 1 stop. For night games I will set the aperture at the widest and set the ISO to keep the shutter speed to at least 1/850. I can set the ISO on the 850 to 10,000 with no problems, higher if I need to.

For the initial post, I just selected a few of the photos. I usually sent 100-150 from each game to our athletic department. Here are some other offense photos that do show opposing players.

Not to take anything away from the first set, but I for one enjoyed this set very much.
