Thought the hummingbirds had gone, but this little female showed up today. Probably a straggler. We have lizards all over the place, and see many.

I know the hummingbird is not in focus, but she surprised me, and I just shot! She is still a beauty!

Actually, I like the overall effect of the humming bird wings in flight combined with the slightly out of focus. It makes it a captivating shot! Nice work on all of them.

I've still got female Ruby-throated here in Asheville, North Carolina. I think the males have gone to Central America to stake our their territory.

They are stilling hanging out, packing in the nectar for their long flight from up here in Minnesota. They are a fun challenge to catch on camera!

Thank you! I was so surprised to see this little female hummer, I just shot. She may be the last one I see this year!

It is that time of year. I always hate to see them go. They arrive at my parents in central Florida two weeks before they get here. When she tells me they are there, my feeder goes up! Just as tickled and excited to see them as if it were my first time!

The hummers show no signs of leaving around here yet. Now I even have an arachnid to add to my portfolio. I will upload it to my computer just as soon as I finish up with some stupid birthday party photos.
