Graham Norton has the best talk show on TV.

I'm having trouble with Acorn. It's only with difficulty that I can connect via Roku, but then it keeps pausing several times a minute to reload. Also, when I try to connect to my list of saved programs, it tells me to check my cable connection. Without a cable connection, I wouldn't have any TV at all, so that's not the problem.

Actually, it could be your cable connections.
I've got Time Warner. Cable comes in goes to tthe modem, then the router, then to my devices.
Sometimes the modem gets wonky. I pay extra to get 200mbs, and sometimes I'm lucky to get 50.
I have to unplug it, take it to the TWC place, and exchange it.
Sometimes the router gets wonky. Sometimes not all 5 outlets will all work at the same time.

Sometimes the system gets wonky. We get the occasional FLASH! and the electrics go out. I come home, and all my settings are default- or worse, corrupted. My TCL Roku TV still has my OTA channels- without the "guide" listings. The modem won't work if plugged into the DVR. And my router has been a local wifi hotspot for 5 hours, and I've gotten another "bad boy" letter.

So, you get to do the "Dirty 30".
Do a factory reset on the TV. As it reboots, unplug it, wait 30 minites, and plug it back in.
While you're waiting, unplug the modem and the router also. Make sure any internal battery is removed.
After their 30, use a paper clip for the reset hole, holed it for 30 seconds, plug it in and still holding that paper clip in there until the front lights come on. There should be nothing but clean codes now.

If THAT doesn't work, test the components.
Unplug everything from the modem, plug only a computer into the ethernet, and run the "Internet Speed Test" a half dozen times, 5 minutes apart. Still good?

It gets kinda amusing at times. I'm 5th in line, listenig to the smiling wench say the same dam things to the other 4 guys as to why it may be the customer's fault. Well, the day before TWC had "updated" their security codes, and older modems and routers didn't like it. so we turn our CB Radio looking green light things in and get these fake carbon skin blue light things. No instructions, of course- we have to go to the Internet and find out out to reset the settings to avoid Internet hackers and wifi leechers. Again.
