Jose Altuve MVP of the AL Championship Series put the Houston Astros' in their first World Series with a walk of Home run in the bottom of the ninth inning to the Astros' a 6-4 game win off of Yankees closer Aroldis Chapman giving the Astros' a 4-2 series win.

The Yankees one of the highest paid teams in baseball goes to show you that "Your money can't buy you a championship. Not this year. Pitching Does."

Yes, the Yankees did choke. When you have the bases loaded, and you are the visitors, you have to gets hits. The Yankees have the 2nd highest payroll next to the #1 Cubs. The Nat's are #3, and the Astros are #8. You are correct, the highest payrolls aren't always a guarantee to get to the World Series. However, I wanted a Yankees vs Dodgers World Series. The Nat's and the Astro earned it. Congrats to each of them. I'll be watching. Astros won World Series against the Dodgers in 2017.They are for real.

Fake news!

Money buys you the best pitchers. The two teams going to the World Series, have the highest paid pitchers of the top 20 in MLB.

Nationals: Strasbourg $39.3 M; Scherzer $37.5 M
Astros: Greinke $34.5 M; Verlander $28.0 M
Yankees: Tanaka $22.0 M; Hap $17.0 M

I'm so frustrated. The Yanks haven't won a pennant in decades.

The Yankees player, Mr.Judge, said the Yankees season was a failure. But, the Dodgers were a bigger failure. Three years in a row failures. No World Series Championship since 1988.

They were in - and won - the 2017 World Series.

But I do share your enthusiasm!

mas24 did point it out, but the Astros won the W.S. in '17, largely through Altuve's bat. How soon we forget!! How appropos that he hit the walk off home run last night!!
