For me, photographs are the possible basis for faux paintings. I try to emulate the work of my favorite artist, Edward Hopper. Sometimes I succeed, other times not so much.

Here is my second set via YouTube.

P.S., the "girl" in the three images starting at 6:33 is my wife from 1970, 1970 and 1979.

I like the painting effect in those. Would you mind telling what software you use?

OUTSTANDING!

Hopper is my favorite American artist, and you have certainly grabbed his spirit and ethos in quite a number of these. Thank you for sharing!

Thank you so much. Yes, I know where I missed the mark but I still like to try.

Here is my first YouTube video (shorter).

Great effort with fine results. Have you considered a book?

Thank you, Exakta56.

No book, ever. Just do it for fun.

I'm spoiled by the magnificent work of other photographers that I see online every day. Makes me humble.

Great inspiration for you from Edward Hopper. I felt the same way when I first saw one of his images. I got my inspiration from Ansel Adams. Thanks for sharing the links. I plan to give it a try it this winter when the snow is on the ground and I am homebound.
