Some of the best shots of wildlife, both flora and fauna, are on overcast days. It was misty this morning on my walk in the garden. Downloads show better detail if you have the time. Enjoy.

Lovely viewing in download.

A great set. Because of the soft light with absence of shadows overcast days are good for this type of shooting but there is a caveat, images tend to get a cyan cast that needs correction during editing. In camera I believe if I recall this right that a setting of the WB to about 6000 degrees Kelvin will correct the problem. If done in Color Correction then equal amounts of red and yellow are needed to taste.

That's a really nice set. I especially like the last Hummingbird. What was your shutter speed on that one?

Thanks. 1/250 sec

Overcast with light rain: Fantastic light, and sadly so many people fail to use it.

Yes indeed. Of course the shutter speeds are considerably slower, so timing and technique become more critical. Thanks for the comment.

Thanks. It is one in-flight shot of about 25 keepers. This late in the year most have already gone.

These were captured with the Sigma 150-600 Sport lens. I purchased mine from Carter on this sight when they were first released. He was the only one with one in stock at the time. He is always helpful when you ask questions. He doesn't give you the feeling that you are bothering him.
