Photography is not about what is seen. It's about what is captured forever in the image.
It's not "forever" when I get a hold of it in my editor😉

Today, "forever" is the length of time it takes to scroll off the bottom of a social media feed.
I just saw this quote from Picasso, known as 'Picasso's Lie:'
We all know that Art is not truth. Art is a lie that makes us realize truth, at least the truth that is given us to understand. The artist must know the manner whereby to convince others of the truthfulness of his lies... I would like to know if anyone has ever seen a natural work of art. Nature and art, being two different things, cannot be the same thing. Through art we express our conception of what nature is not.
— Picasso approved this statement made in Spanish to Marius de Zayas, before it was translated and published as Picasso Speaks in The Arts. New York, May 1923.
I don’t regard myself as an artist. But I do appreciate others who are. Picasso may have been right, but I do not attempt to convey the lie in order to cause others to realize the truth. My main use of photography is to capture beautiful and/or interesting moments in nature. I believe there are multiple approaches to photography, artistic expression being one. Frank
