These were taken last week along the Eastern Sierra's highway 395. Aspens provide much of the arid west's short Fall color season.
Beautiful scenes, Rockdog!! We sure miss fishing and photographing in the eastern Sierra's. We just returned from southern California Monday and drove Hwy. 395 and did some photography...hope to post some images shortly.
Wonderful light and shadows!

Beautiful clear crisp stuff, Phil; you knocked it out of the park with #5.

Thanks jederick it is always a pleasure to swap stories with you regarding our mutual appreciation of this wonderful part of the country. We spent some quality time on the Walker river this trip. Have you ever read any thing about Joseph Walker? He is one of the early western mountain men worth getting to know.
I appreciate you visit, Phil

Very nice color!
As you know Mike these Aspens can go to a more impressive orange color in the short period between yellow and gone. It's all about timing.
Thanks for the visit!
