Meet Jake...
...the snake! More specifically the ball python. I have been absent on here for awhile but still check in and look around when I have time. I took this of our new pet a few days ago and thought I would share. Thanks for looking in. Comments welcome! Have a great day.
Nice shot but I'll never understand calling one a pet!
Nice! Jake is ball of future photo ops. I once saw a much larger python going up a staircase, it was mesmerizing!
Color is great and nice sharp image. Nicely done.

Thank you. He is still little right now. Only about 160g. He is growing fast though. 😀 They actually make great pets. Very little mess, they only eat about once a week, they make no noise, and if you are busy and don't have time to mess with them much they could care less. Actually they probably prefer not to be messed with.

Beautiful ball python
Thank you. I think he is adorable.
As long as he doesn't lay next to you straight like a board sizing you up for a snack

Yes he is fun to watch when he does choose to get out and about. He is a tiny thing right now. About 22 inches long (it's hard to get an accurate length on a very wiggly snake that would rather be balled up then stretched out lol) and ways about 160g.

Lol.
he is only 22inches long so I highly doubt he will ever think I'm good. Even full grown he isn't likely to get over 4ft long. Small rats are about the biggest thing he will ever eat. Maybe medium rats if he ends up on the larger side but I doubt it. Most males stay between 3 and 4 ft.

Congrats, he is gorgeous and a cutie!
He is beautiful! I do like snakes. Right now we have 3 dogs, 2 cats and 2 hermit crabs. I think we'll have to pass on a snake. But Jake is a nice looking guy! Post more photos as he grows! Nice shot, too. I like how he's partially in the shadow.
