I have an older Mac Pro (the large silver box) that has served me well. However it's gotten sick and can't be updated so I pretty much turned it into running my film and flatbed scanners; and as a file storage unit. As time has progressed it would not awaken or even turn back on. So I finally decided it was time for recycling. Then after a couple of weeks of inactivity and as I was closing up for the evening, I heard the 'dong' of it turning on. A few seconds later the screen is active and I can do work. So I removed some files for transfer to a external HD and shut it down again. The next morning, I brought in some items that needed to be scanned and the old guy comes back to life again. So I'm not sure if I have good or evil ghosts hanging around, despite it being a bit early for Halloween. Guess I'll let the old guy keep working!
Haha.
It didn't want to get recycled!
Mac, Win, Linux and Murphy are all friends and just love to mess with people's minds.
Sometimes the batteries just need a rest and time to reset.

It is simply the Mac Homunculus installed in all older Mac Pros. I have one and it kicks up its heels now and then...
