I've tried several EOS-oriented programs, along with the typical free, online apps - no success whatsoever. Googling for many an hour has proven fruitless. I'd greatly appreciate insight from anybody who has managed to determine the shutter count on a 77D. Thanks.

Have you tried shutter count by Dire studio? Available on the Apple App Store?

It works for my 80D, and was just updated for the 90D

I should have mentioned that I own a PC that runs windows 10. Thank you much for the suggestion!

That eliminates Direstudio shutter count - how about EOSCount? www.eoscount.com

Thank you for the suggestion. I tried the program, which provided a wealth on information. No shutter count though. I'm quite vexed.

Thank you for the suggestion and accompanying link. That is one of the apps I've tried.

I've seen 77D shutter/mirror up counts posted online, so surely it is possible to extract the data SOMEHOW. Still, it eludes me.

I also have 77D and would love to know what mine is. I do have a habit of practicing shooting so that will run my count up. Never sold an old camera so problem. More curious.

I use Free Shutter Count on my Canons (50D, 5D IV etc. They have a free version but I had to upgrade ($7), so Free isn't free.

People should worrying about shutter count, especially with a Canon. I have had many cameras and shot like crazy. The only time I have done shutter count is when selling a body and I take it to my local camera store and they run the count for free.

I don't know about your 77D but this one works with my 60D.

Canon changes how the shutter count can be obtained, if at all, from the different versions of their DIGIC processors. Read the fine-print closely to see if it lists your model number before paying for anything.

Don’t worry about it. Shoot til it dies (probably won’t ever) then have it fixed or buy a new camera. What does knowing the count achieve?

That's one I have but haven't deleted. Guess I'm still hoping.
